  Nytt intresse för i år: Laxfiske i Columbia River, Oregon state på USA västkusten.  I have been watching a lot of videos in YouTube lately, in order to get to know different parts of the USA better. All of it started with an attempt to trace some familymembers that emigrated in the late 1800 or early 1900 to Canada or USA. In evening school singinglessons about this also, and now then a common interest food, cooking, and fishing salmon.  Aiana is the name of a young girl who wants to become a "fisher woman" in the Columbia River... (The picture here in this post has nothing to do with that, it is a small pond or lake here in Finland. )

We are approaching Christmas this year and this week we are struggling with snowfall and car troubles. Trying to get one of them in good condition for Finland winter roads. The problem is that we do not have very large amount of money to spend. So for a while here I set my hopes for an organization in our Capital Helsinki to grant me some money to keep working with swedish language projects. Because they did not grant me the money I had applied for, at this moment I do not feel like writing in swedish and decided to make some of my blogpages in english during the year 2023.  English is always a good starting point for international relations. So even if swedish is my mother tongue and I feel strongly connected to Sweden and swedish activities here on the west coast of Finland, I  will put more effort on keeping up my level of English, spoken and written and also continue with studying french writing and italian.
